Gud Först is passionate about seeing Jesus transform lives in the city of Gothenburg.
Who we Are
"I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" - Jesus
Gud Först was started in 2014 when a group of 6 moved over from the UK to plant a church in the amazing city of Gothenburg. We met in homes and settled into the city before beginning to meet publicly as a church in the city centre. Now, in 2023, we are a growing, international church family who meet in Gamlestaden every Sunday morning and in small groups across the city throughout the week.
Over the years, we have seen God be faithful in all of life. That does not mean there have been no challenges - there have been plenty - but God has been faithful throughout!
Although we are still at the beginning of our journey it is a privilege to read in Matthew 16 that Jesus will build his church. We get to partner with him - to share the gospel, pray for the sick and live life together - but it is Jesus who builds his church.
God absolutely loves this city, and he has commissioned us to be a people who express His love wherever He has placed us.

Team
What we do is only possible thanks to teams of people across every area of church life. Let us introduce to you the team leaders:
Leadership Team

Joshua
Joshua leads the eldership team and takes responsibility for small groups, teaching and training.
Nina
Nina leads the welcome team. She hosts and preaches on Sunday mornings.
Aled and Chloe
Aled is part of the eldership team. He leads the worship team and preaches on Sunday mornings.
Chloe leads the Kids Club team and hosts on Sunday mornings.
Jobin
Jobin is one of the church elders. He leads a small group together with his wife Sonia and preaches on Sunday mornings.
Verity
Verity leads the media team and is responsible for designing visuals or marketing materials for different events.
Albin
Albin leads worship and preaches on Sunday mornings. He is responsible for looking after the church finances together with Oliver.
Cleyton
Cleyton leads a small group together with his wife Vanessa.
