For many years now, as a church, we have celebrated Christmas with a beautiful, cosy Christmas Carol Event on a dark evening in December. These events have been very special - full of music, candlelight, fika and reflections on God coming to live in the world He made and loves.
This year, we are experimenting with something a little different. The vision is to have a more diverse, family-friendly, daytime event that everyone from the church can be involved with and help make happen.
We want to share the generosity, welcome, nearness and creativity of our God with those around us. We want to bring light, love and joy into the world!
We hope ‘A Christmas Fair’ will be an invitation for everyone to come and experience the warmest welcome, an opportunity to create some beautiful things, have some fun, sing some Christmas songs and perhaps make some new friends, whilst enjoying tasty treats. Perhaps they will ask us why it's all free, ask us the reason for the hope we have?
Like when Jesus would feast with friends, when all were able to join Him around the table, we want to enjoy and share with our friends, neighbours, colleagues and fellow Gothenburgians that Christmas is all about The Word became flesh and blood,
and moved into the neighbourhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes,
